Comedy
Overview
The Enlightened Hot Mess is a sexy comedy with a storyline. It’s an unfiltered, raw, and unapologetic journey through midlife mayhem, chaos, and self-empowerment. Helene Rose explores feminine self-expression and reclaims the dark inner goddess. She leaves behind her old life to begin again. This time, she refuses to settle, redefining who she thought she was and who the world told her to be. As she reclaims her voice and her power, this relatable and irreverent show entertains and empowers audiences to question their own lives and step into themselves as powerful creators. Laughing releases resistance. Just like orgasms. Expect to get dirty.

About Helene
One year ago, Helene quit her job teaching Algebra because she wanted fun, meaning, and purpose in her life. For her, it was not Algebra. Her mentor, Robert Wood, helped her shift her perspective from a printing press for money to a goddess creator. Since then, she has created Be Brilliant Network LLC, a worldwide platform for healing & transformation, a book released in May 2026 How to Get the World We Want, a comedy show The Enlightened Hot Mess, and has trained with the University of Metaphysics for the healing & coaching work she offers to empower and inspire others in their own lives. Her motto is Don’t Settle, Shine. Don’t dim to fit in, shine to stand out. You weren’t born to blend, you were born to be brilliant!

“If you ever wanted to see a show that makes you ponder your past, present, and future—while at the same time making you laugh hysterically at unthinkable subject matter—catch Helene Rose and The Enlightened Hot Mess. It will be one of the most enjoyable 60 minutes you’ll spend. Her comedic insight on women’s feelings and actions, while keeping a tight rein on the male perspective, is absolutely hilarious. Leave the kiddies at home and come down for a wild ride… I guarantee you’ll be discussing it for weeks.”

“Sharp, fearless, and unexpectedly perceptive, Helene turns everyday absurdities into brilliantly timed comedy. Her humor is irreverent without feeling forced, and beneath the punchlines is real insight about people, relationships, and modern life. Equal parts chaotic and intelligent, she keeps the audience laughing while actually making them think.”

“I recently attended a performance of Helene Rose’s The Enlightened Hot Mess. This show has everything: self-empowerment, meditation, reclamation, and stories about oral sex. It makes for a very interesting and entertaining evening.”

“Helene is God-sent! Pun intended. Despite being shamefully tardy to her show, I was immediately strapped in and along for the ride. Her enlightened aura captivated me and then flooded me with all the NSFW comedy my spirit didn’t know it needed. Sprint, don’t run, to all things Helene!”

GRATITUDE Thank you to Ann Sabbah and the Denver Fringe Festival for creating this space for creative self-expression and performance. I am grateful for every person I have met in the Denver comedy scene. You have inspired me and taught me so much. Witnessing your courage and creativity has helped me find more of that within myself. Especially my classmates at Comedy Works Laugh Lab and RISE Standup classes. I’m grateful for my teachers, coaches, and guides! Robert Wood, Darren LaCroix, Stephanie McHugh, Chris McGuire, and all the STU coaches, Janae Burris, Christie Buchele, Jeremy Cash, Jennifer Hill, John Riggs, and David Ortolano. There is a little bit of each of everyone I have met in this show. Thank you.
